Porta Guora is considered the gateway to the old town of Rethymnon. This used to be the gateway that protected the city. Only part of the original gate has been preserved.Our city walk through Rethymnon starts at this gate.
Once you have walked through the Porta Guora, you will enter the picturesque center of Rethymnon.Here you will find a messy street with here and there a café, boutique or souvenir shop. Sniff the atmosphere as you walk through the streets.

Porta Guora
Porta Guora wordt beschouwd als de toegangspoort tot de oude stad Rethymnon. Dit was vroeger de toegangspoort dat de stad beschermde. Slechts een deel van de oorspronkelijke poort is bewaard gebleven. Onze stadswandeling door Rethymnon begint bij deze poort.
Eenmaal je door de Porta Guora bent gewandeld, kom je in het pittoreske centrum van Rethymnon. Je vindt hier een wirwar aan gezellige straatjes met hier en daar een cafeetje, boetiekje of souvenirwinkeltje. Snuif ook zeker de sfeer op wanneer je door de straten wandelt.
