Roustika ist ein großes venezianisches Dorf mit byzantinischen Kapellen und interessanter Architektur.
.Die byzantinische Kirche Sotira Christou ist mit ihren Wandmalereien aus dem 14. Jahrhundert und ihrem venezianischen Campanile mit dem Datum 1627 ziemlich wichtig.
.In der Region des Dorfes gab es ein intensives religiöses Leben, und es gab viele Klöster. Nur das Kloster des Propheten Elias wurde erhalten und stammt aus dem Jahr 1641.
.Seitdem hat das Kloster viel Verwüstung von den Osmanen erlitten, wobei das letzte das von 1866 während des Vormarsches der Türken in Richtung Arkadi war.
Danach wurde es wieder aufgebaut und arbeitet auf dem neuesten Stand.Das Kloster hatte eine Bewertungsbibliothek, von der ein Teil zerstört wurde, ein anderer gestohlen wurde, während sich derzeit eine beträchtliche Anzahl von Büchern in der Nationalbibliothek von Paris befindet.
.Ein würdiger Zwischenstopp ist auch das Griechische Kostümmuseum im Dorf.Moundros, das weiter südlich liegt, ist ein venezianisches Dorf mit vielen schönen venezianischen Gebäuden (alte Gerichte, Gefängnisse und Häuser von Adligen), unter ihnen ein venezianisches Herrenhaus mit einer hervorragenden Tür, über die es eineinschrift von Virgils Aeneid.Es lohnt sich, die Kirchen von Agios Konstantinos, Agii Anargiri (11. Jahrhundert) und Agios Nikolaos zu besuchen.

Rethymno-Moundros-Argyroupoli
Roustika is a large Venetian village with Byzantine chapels and interesting architecture.
The Byzantine church of Sotira Christou is quite important with its murals of the 14th century and its Venetian campanile with the date 1627 on it.
In the region of the village, there was an intense religious life, and there were many monasteries. Only the monastery of Prophet Elias preserved and dates from 1641.
Since then the Monastery has suffered much devastation from the Ottomans, with the last being that of 1866, during the advance of the Turks towards Arkadi.
After that, it has been rebuilt and works up to date. The monastery had an appraisal library, part of which was destroyed, another was stolen, while a significant number of books is currently in the National Library of Paris.
A worthy stop-over is also the Greek Costume Museum in the village. Moundros, which is further south, is a Venetian village with many beautiful Venetian buildings (old courts, prisons, and houses of nobles), among them, a Venetian mansion with a superb doorway over which there is an inscription from Virgil's Aeneid.
It is worth visiting the churches of Agios Konstantinos, Agii Anargiri (11th century), and Agios Nikolaos.
