Dit is een wandelroute van cultureel en natuurlijk belang, en een deel van het noordelijke deel van het Europese spoor E4.
.De vroegchristelijke basiliek van Eleutherna is gelegen op het punt Katsivelos, binnen de archeologische site van de oude Eleutherna, dateert uit de 6e of 7e eeuw en is een drie-geïsoleerde basiliek rijk versierd metmozaïeken.
Vanuit het historische Arkadi klooster, met de prachtige Renaissance architectuur van haar kerk en het Museum van Historische Kerkelijke Artefacten - het is de moeite waard om er een langere stop - de route loopt oostwaarts,passeert het noordelijke deel van de archeologische site van Eleutherna.
Opgravingen in het Oude Eleutherna hebben buitengewone bevindingen van verschillende chronologische fasen aan het licht gebracht, tentoongesteld in het nieuwe Museum van Eleftherna, gelegen nabij de ingang van de archeologische site.Vanuit het dorp Eleutherna daalt een onverharde weg naar het noorden af in de richting van de overdekte begraafplaats in de plaats Orthi Petra, ongeveer 1 km verderop.
.Ongeveer dezelfde afstand verder naar het noorden wordt een prachtige brug van de Hellenistische periode bewaard.Een pad van Orthi Petra, stijgt naar Pirgi, de Acropolis van de oude stad, langs de ondergrondse aquaducten en de overblijfselen van de Byzantijnse kerk van Agia Anna.
.Voordat Pirgi, het pad vertakt naar het oosten naar de plaats genaamd Katsivelos, waar een groot deel van de stad is opgegraven, met straten en de resten van mooie gebouwen, evenals een grote christelijke basiliek,die van Michael Archangelos.De kerk werd gebouwd op de site van een oudere Hellenistische heiligdom.
.Hier ontmoet het pad de onverharde weg die zuidwaarts naar de hoofdweg leidt, eerst langs de begraafplaats van het dorp Oude Eleftherna met zijn Byzantijnse kerk van Sotira Christou.

This is a walking route of cultural and natural interest, and part of the northern section of European Trail E4.
The early Christian basilica of Eleutherna is situated at the point Katsivelos, within the archaeological site of ancient Eleutherna, dates to the 6th or 7th century and is a three-aisled basilica richly ornamented with mosaics.
From the historic Arkadi Monastery, with the wonderful Renaissance architecture of its church and the Museum of Historic Ecclesiastical Artifacts - it is worthwhile making a longer stop there - the route runs eastwards, passes the north part of the archaeological site of Eleutherna.
Excavations in Ancient Eleutherna have brought to light extraordinary findings of various chronological phases, exhibited at the new Museum of Eleftherna, which is located near the entrance of the archaeological site.
From the village of Eleutherna a dirt road descends northwards in the direction of the covered cemetery in the place called Orthi Petra, about 1 km away.
About the same distance further north a superb bridge of the Hellenistic period is preserved. A path from Orthi Petra, ascends towards Pirgi, the Acropolis of the ancient city, passing the underground aquaducts and the remains of the Byzantine church of Agia Anna.
Before Pirgi, the path branches eastwards towards the place called Katsivelos, where a large part of the city has been excavated, with streets and the remains of fine buildings as well as a large Christian Basilica, that of Michael Archangelos.
The church was built on the site of an older Hellenistic sanctuary.
