Agia Galini stranden Stranden bij Agia GaliniBeide stranden bij Agia Galini liggen ten oosten van het dorp en je kunt ze gemakkelijk bereiken langs het pad van de haven, waar de grote rots ontspringt waaruit Daedalus en Icarus ooit vlogen. Het strand van Agia Galini heeft paraplu's, cafetaria's en tavernes. Er is voldoende ruimte op het strand dus het moet niet vervelend druk voelen. Als je de brug over de Platy River oversteekt, vind je jezelf op het ooststrand, dat ook zand en kiezels aan het begin heeft. Dit strand loopt enkele kilometers verder tot aan Kokkinos Pyrgos, maar het zand verdwijnt snel, waardoor grote stenen zowel in als uit het water blijven.

Agia Galini beaches Beaches at Agia GaliniBoth beaches at Agia Galini are east of the village and you can reach them easily along the path from the harbour, where the great rock rises from which Daedalus and Icarus once flew. The main sand-and-pebble beach of Agia Galini has umbrellas, cafeterias and tavernas. There is plenty of room on the beach so it should not feel annoyingly crowded.If you cross the bridge over the Platy River, you will find yourself on the east beach, which also has sand and pebbles at the start.This beach continues for several kilometres as far as Kokkinos Pyrgos but the sand soon disappears, leaving large stones both in and out of the water.
